About the Programme
The BS Chemistry programme provides a rigorous four-year education in the fundamental and applied branches of chemistry. Students are exposed to all six disciplinary areas, analytical, biochemistry, industrial and applied, inorganic, organic, and physical chemistry, through an integrated curriculum of lectures, tutorials, and supervised laboratory practicals.
The programme develops strong theoretical grounding, laboratory competence, scientific communication skills, and research aptitude. In the final year, students undertake a supervised research project in their chosen area, providing first-hand experience of scientific inquiry and report writing.
